We are a group of volunteers who care about the local food system. We have fiscal sponsorship through the Chattanooga Food Center, which allows us to collect donations and grant funding to further our mission.

Our mission is to cultivate a strong partnership between community members, local organizations, and government bodies by fostering collaboration to create a sustainable food system through navigating and improving food policy.

Our vision is a greater Chattanooga where every person thrives within a food system that advances community empowerment, equitable access, collaboration, and resilience.

The coalition works to cultivate food leaders within the community. Community members shape their local food environment, holding the decision-making power over the food they consume.

All members of our community have equitable access to nutritious, affordable, and culturally-relevant foods, leading to improved health outcomes.

The coalition fosters active engagement and partnership among key stakeholders. We value nonpartisanship and strive to amplify and engage all voices.

The coalition recognizes that a resilient food system must prioritize sustainable practices, which will in turn bolster long-term regional economic vitality for the greater Chattanooga area.
